the benefits of
radiant heat

555 is maximizing energy efficiency while reducing operating costs for better thermal comfort, and decreasing energy waste through thermal storage.

In support of this effort, in partnership with Google Sidewalk Labs, 345 Hudson is using climate control mechanisms to monitor climate space by space detecting unused or vacant spaces.

Placemaking Initiatives

Across Hudson Square, we are partnering with our community leaders, elected officials, and organizations. For example, Urban Design Forum, is reinvigorating our community through projects like Restorative Ground, a design competition aimed at creating a multisensory gathering space on a previously underutilized street.

Hudson Square Properties is also committed to creating opportunities for New York-based artists from underrepresented communities. By rethinking the building façade as a dedicated canvas, artists become integral to the evolution of the ground level experience.

direct community impact

Hudson Square Properties works with the ACE Mentorship Program, Project Exalt, and Project Destined to create valuable internship opportunities that provide minority and under-represented communities with meaningful work experience in the real estate and AEC industries. 555 Greenwich has also created approximately 1,000 union jobs.

Our corporate partnership with Hudson River Park provides funding for the design, upkeep, and programming of NYC’s largest open space. We’ve partnered with Mesa, a division of Sidewalk Labs, on a Cleantech Accelerator that will use IoT and digital tools to elevate the sustainability and comfort of the HSP portfolio.
